Meet the Team

Laura Ward, Clinical Animal Behaviourist with her collie dog in Buckinghamshire

Laura Ward

Laura Ward is an ABTC Accredited Clinical Animal Behaviour Practitioner, who specialises in dog aggression and reactivity.

She has had a passion for animal behaviour from a young age, and as a dog owner of several rescues can relate to the emotional rollercoaster owning a dog with behaviour problems can bring.

Her first career was as a Registered Veterinary nurse, starting training at the age of 17y, and qualifying in 2009. With the urge to do more to improve animal welfare still strong, Laura completed a BSc (Hons) in Applied Animal Behaviour. From here, in 2014, Minds Alike was born.

Laura will take the time to understand your dog's issues, considering theoretical and practical knowledge of dog behaviour, emotions, neuroscience and health. Being accredited with the ABTC, APBC, TCBTS, and APDT demonstrates Laura’s passion for industry regulation and thorough assessment processes.

Sam has always been fascinated by the unique bond between humans and their dogs and believes that every dog deserves a loving home and every owner deserves the joy of a well-behaved and happy companion.

Her first dog was an adorable Boxer called Bosch, who had challenges after being attacked out on a walk. Sam struggled finding an ethical, reward-based trainer who could help her, inspiring Sam to start her journey to become an accredited dog trainer.

Sam’s invaluable experience includes working at Dog Trust, both as a Training and Behaviour Adviser and in the role of Education and Community Officer, bringing her passion for educating children on dog safety and ownership directly to schools.

Let Sam’s expertise guide you and your dog towards enjoying a happy and fulfilled life together.
